This season is Coach Rodgers' third as varsity assistant and his fourth in coaching.

Coach Rodgers graduated from Midlothian High School in 1999. He attended Cedar Valley College, playing for the Suns baseball team for one year. He transferred to Howard Payne University, where he lettered for the Yellowjackets for three years.

In 2004, Coach Rodgers graduated from Howard Payne with a B.B.A. in Business Management. He enjoys playing golf and spending time outdoors during his time off.
Coach Lybrand is in his second year as the JV baseball coach.

Coach Lybrand graduated in 2001 from MHS, where he played football and baseball for the Panthers, winning honors as All-District quarterback and shortstop.

Coach Lybrand attended Harding University, where he played football for four years. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in kinesiology.
This is Coach Blackwell's first year at MHS. He has been involved in coaching football and track as well as baseball.

Coach Blackwell graduated in 1997 from Midlothian H.S., where he earned All-District honors as a baseball player. He was a member of MHS teams that competed in the playoffs in 1995-97, finishing as an area finalist in 1997.

He graduated in 2006 from the University of Texas-Arlington, where he received a bachelor of arts degree with a History major and an English minor.

Coach Blackwell and his wife, Heather, have a dog named Lucy. He enjoys coaching, playing basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family.
Coach Hydes begins his 10th year at MHS and his 21st year coaching.

Coach Hydes graduated in 1981 from Nederland H.S., where he won All-District honors in baseball and football. At Angelina Junior College, he was named All-Conference catcher for two years. He transferred to Dallas Baptist University, where he played in two College World Series and was named to the World Series All-Tournament team.

Additional honors Coach Hydes earned include All-American catcher, MVP of the Regional tournament in 1985, and All-Conference for two years at DBU.

Coach Hydes began his coaching career at DeSoto H.S. and was head coach at Joshua H.S. in 1990.

He and his wife, Tanya, have been married for 17 years and have an 11-year-old daughter, Raegan.
