HEAD COACH RAY HYDES begins his 12th year at Midlothian High School and his 23nd year coaching.

Coach Hydes graduated from Nederland High School in 1981, where he won All-District honors in both baseball and football. He attended Angelina Junior College where he was named All-Conference catcher for two years. Coach Hydes then transferred to Dallas Baptist University where he played in two College World Series tournaments and was named on the World Series All-Tournament Team. Other honors Coach Hydes has received include All-American catcher, MVP of the Regional Tournament in 1985, and two years All-Conference at Dallas Baptist University.

Coach Hydes began coaching at DeSoto High School and was also head coach at Joshua High School in 1990. Coach Hydes and his wife, Tanya, have been married for 19 years and have a 13-year-old daughter, Raegan.

COACH RYAN RODGERS is in his sixth year of coaching and his sixth year at Midlothian. It is his fifth as the Varsity Assistant. Coach Rodgers graduated from Midlothian High School in 1999 and attended Cedar Valley College where he played baseball for one year. He then transferred to Howard Payne University in 2000 where he played baseball for three years and graduated with a BBA in Business Management.

Coach Rodgers is engaged to Amanda Baird. Their wedding is set for June 19 in Granbury, Texas. His interests include listening to live music, being outdoors and taking care of the yard.
